You don't have to be as creative with toys as much as you used too. Don't get me wrong, there is some cool stuff because of technology, but I think I maybe a little bias to it all, ha ha.

A lot of the toys these days are junk. I see it a lot with my younger cousins, they get stuff for Christmas and it's broken before the day's out. Lego's are becomming more disappointing and less creative. I grew up with them and you had to find creative ways to make things out of the standard parts, now they just make custom parts to create any shape they want. They look cool, but don't require nearly as much effort to assemble as the old ones. RC cars have gotten cooler if you get a decent one. They're a hell of a lot faster than the ones I had as a kid!

I've been avoiding this thread but this year, it all goes downhill for me...

No kidding about the Lego's. I used build a mean Air Wolf replica out of the blue pieces, and was lucky they made a windshield! Wish I or my parents had kept those Lego's too, those things are hella expensive for what you get nowadays. Hey and at least you made it to 30. There's only one alternative to getting older, and it sucks too!

I still have all my old Legos and matchbox cars. Some of them I think might be worth some money but most of them I used in the dirt so they're just in a big box with the rest of them (to be passed down to my kids when the time comes).

EBAY!!! They just don't make shit like when we were kids...

    Toys

    CARTOONS

    CEREAL

    MOVIES

TV SHOWS - 8 is enough, Dukes, A-Team, Threes company, Brady Bunch (HELLYEAH I LOVED THE BRADYS), Knight Rider, BJ n The Bear, Incredible HULK, etc.

getting up Saturday morning was an epic event in itself - build a fort out of ma n pa's tv trays with blankets over them, sittin in the fort tunnel with a bigass bowl of Lucky Charms then let the Epic cartoons begin. Looney Tunes, Scooby, Capt. Caveman, Thundarr, Hucklberry Hound, Laff-A-Lympics, Jabberjaw....those were the days.

Even the toy and cereal commercials were worth waiting for.

I had a shitload of those.

I made a ring with a block of wood, hammered a bigass nail in each corner then stretched 3 rubberbands from nail to nail so I had 3 "ropes". Then took a red fine tip washable marker and made blood on each of their faces from getting their ass kicked, then wiped it off afterwards to get them ready for the next match.

LEGOS and LINCOLN LOGS were my goto toys for a long time. I use to build houses and roads and use my Hot Wheels with them. Fun as hell.

I let my daughter use my old Lincoln Logs and she loves them. I wish I still had my gigantic trunk of LEGOS. Those things are spendy as hell.

Got my 8 year old into LEGOS last Christmas and she's lovin them.
