4 bolts underneath. And some wiring for the rear lights. Just lifts off. Pretty easy actually.

I have them on mine still. Don't wheel hardly and won't ever have the money to put sliders on this truck at least. I like them and don't look all that bad

    Easy.

6 bolts holding the bed on,
    4 screws at gas filler,
removed the taillights and harness snapped to underside of bed
removed the bed liner and tailgate to make things lighter
need someone to help lift one side otherwise simple.

Removed the spare / shocks / tires for better access around all the steel

Yeah see that last hole on the frame in the rear?

There was a threaded bolt (arrow shaped head, which provided resistance) coming down from under the bed (on the beds last frame rail underneath) through that hole with a nut on the underside.

The bed really only needs four. I've taken off beds before and it is typically four. Not sure why mine came that way. In fact Ive only had the factory bed off once after the truck was hit while parked by a full size Ford E-350 Stanley Steamer van. Surprisingly did not bend the frame.

When I removed the bolt on the drivers side part of the bolt head was rolled up (remnant of the accident). I was slightly interested in seeing that as the only evidence left over from when it was hit.

does the plati-dip produce any glare or is it more of a flat black? the reason im asking is im sick of the glare on my black fuckin hood...its blinding in the snow and i was thinking about sanding and putting bed liner on the hood but plasti-dip might be an alternative to destroying the paint!

Unfortunately it was mostly stock. The only performance mods were an 03 motor swap with cai, bbk o/r x pipe, flowmaster 40's.

Dye it!!! I just did mine and it turned out amazing. I used 4 coats of duplicolor gloss black vinyl and trim dye.

Plastidip is about as flat as flat gets. I imagine it would do great to eliminate glare.
