I was remembering 3 as well, plus I think the lower channels get better reception. Let's stick with channel 3 then.

lots of people like to tune to the chanel they use most. if you never use anything else, that's great. but if you use a multitude of channels, it is beneficial to tune to the "average" so to speak. so if you only ever used channels 1 to 15, tune to 7 or 8. with all of these offroad meets, and the fact that i usually just leave it on 19 when i'm driving around, I tune to channel 19 or 20. that way, even if i go to the far ends of the spectrum at #1 or #40, the variance is not far in either direction from that magical 1:1 ratio of my tuned channel.

It's looking like I'll be able to make it. I know it was asked earlier, but never really saw an answer. What would be a good time to show up Sat. morning?

Also, still have my stock Bridgestones for sale if anyone is interested. PM me and I can bring them.

Bottom line, if you want to get in on any fun, get to the same as soon as possible.

I see the weekend going like this:

Friday, multiple runs with small groups as people show up and setup. We are all antsy to get out and play, so these groups are typically 4-6 trucks.

Friday night run, play in the sand type of thing.

Sat morning, the ENTIRE group goes out in one giant mess of a pack after breakfast to the "death pit" (I make the names up, none of them make sense, so just go with it) for the group shot. After everyone gets their pictures, we split up into multiple groups and meet back at camp every now and then.

Sat night run or hippie jam band laser light show in the caves

Sun morning small quick run, breakfast, pack up head home

Welp boys.... I won't be doing any hard wheeling this weekend. Whilst swapping oil pans my oil pickup is too far from the pan so anything over 3500 rpm the pump starts airating and loses pressure. So i will drive around and have fun but not like last time :/
