    Leave your tailgate at home till you get that off...

    Is it a sticker or paint?.... If it's a vinyl sticker---heat gun or hair dryer, but be careful....

    If it won't loosen then you are in for a sanding and paint job, I bet...especially cuz you already damaged the paint...

    I think the sander and a rattle can is in your future...
