found a daycare. In home and almost half the other cost.

Lucky... We still haven't started looking yet though. Erica is off for 6-8 weeks and then her mom is off for the summer. Built in baby sitter until September or so. Then I need one. The base has a child care, but it is $130 a week or something like that. I need to find somewhere with hourly since he will only be in care for 16-20 hours a week.

It is a lady that lives about half a mile from our new house.

$130 week is a hell of a price. Some of the places we were looking at were $220 a week. This lady is at about $120 a week for m-th. Not many will do it without some sort of set schedule. They want dependable income.

 

We're in the same-ish boat. Alison is off for the summer and we have a couple weeks at the end of the school year we are having family watch her, so we don't need the care until school starts back up.

 

Cool. How did you find out about her?

 

Friend of my MIL is using her.

 

Yeah, it isn't bad I know. But the CDC on base is a large child development center ran hand in hand with the guberment. I understand 130 a week isn't bad, but it's a lot if I am using less than half of the 50 hours a week I would be paying for.

 

Look for some in home daycare. Better care, better prices.

 

Yeah. I need to. I don't know if Erica will be willing to do that yet. We shall see when the time comes.

 

We went the "stay-at-home" Mom route... Very difficult initially
Got some help from our families in the beginning and we were both raised that way too.
Kind of outside the norm these days.
