CKMA12 - the "high output".

By the time I priced out putting in a Puma id be into it for at least $300. Seems like the ARB will be fine for my needs, and comes with a prebuilt harness/switch as well.

Which way were they headed? I live around Tanasbourne and there was about 20 cop cars, 10 fire trucks and ambulances and a few unmarked by my house in a parking lot and they did another test run at the hospital.

In beautiful Cashmere right now, they're going to try and get the truck done by this evening.. Kind of a little bummed, the estimate I just got was about $600 more than what I got over the phone.

Damn, those intense crashes. Call me weird, but I'm not a fan of the whole "buggy" ethos. While I don't know any of those guys personally, they remind me of a rich friend I used to hang out with.

It just seems like they always want to push the envelope with little regard or respect to others. Too much money, too much pride, too much HP, too much speed. It's like they don't give a fuck about anyone/anything but themselves and their buggys. Again, this is just my subjective opinion.

Shit, I hope so. Isn't that the reason you went with them instead of ecgs? It is nice that they are relatively local though if something goes wrong.

 

Ultraguage is cheaper and has a bigger screen. Only upside I know of for the scanguage over the ultraguage is that the scanguage can read the auto tranny temp.

Eh, depends. There are plenty of guys who don't have savings, retirement fund, and at best a mediocre, old home and work multiple jobs to afford some of the buggies. There are certainly plenty of guys that fit your description though. If they have the money, more power to them. My entertainment on their dime.

They have a comp series for the rock bouncing now. Its starting out the same way Ultra4 did. Used to just be a small group of buddies that got together to go mob it. You used to be able to get on the course and touch buggies a few years ago at KOH and now its a 200' set back. They hammered just as hard, well...different kind of hard in order to keep the car together for hundreds of miles instead of a few trails. They are there to beat times, push the limits, and put on a show, its the entire purpose of these events. Spectators are there at their own risk.

The thing that bothers me with the Southern rock bouncing is good luck saying we tread lightly...not to mention some of this looks like it is near water...fuckulating water quality is the quickest way to shut down offroading trails and parks.

If only I had a $100k to spare...can't drive a nice M3 our similar sports car where I live, this would be a perfect alternative. haha. I can dream at least.

Just checked into Best Western in Wanatchee. Final price came out to around 2k, with ARB compressor and hose kit.

Great group of guys and the run a solid business, Carl just dropped me off at the hotel and will be picking me up in the AM.

Put all new bearings in front diff, solid spacer and ARB air seal as compensation for under shooting original estimate. Oh, going to throw my 886s on in the morning, too.

The financial side is a little hard to swallow, but it was either regear/locker or a new truck. This option is a little less $.

 

Does the $2K include the cost of the ARB locker as well, or just the gears, install and compressor?

 

Gears and install - had to replace pinion yoke on my Craigslist ARB as well as a bonnet seal.

New rear axle seals, master rebuild kit in front diff as well.

All in all I feel like it's fair.

 

Ok, yeah that's not bad. I went through ECGS and paid about $2600 for the preassembled diffs. Master rebuild kit on front diff with ARB locker and the same compressor you ordered,

CKMA12 and a rear diff with the solid spacer. I had to swap mine out myself though and mail the old ones back.
