Upper radiator hose leak?

I have had this problem for a while, and search the forums but no answer. I have 04 DC V6, the leak is coming from the upper radiator hose right above the timing belt cover. The coolant accumulates to a small puddle. I just had all the belts, hoses, and water pump replaced a few months ago, it was happening before the change. Any help will be appreciated.

 

hmm..thats a good one. Mine started leaking, so i replaced the upper hose and it went away. You sure your goose neck(plastic thing where the upper hose is attatched to) isnt cracked? The clamp could be bad also..Did who ever you have do it, replace the hose clamp?

 

Like said above, replace the clamp with a screw type, the spring style calmps are known to fail....

 

ive still got the original on mine after 129,000 miles

 

I replaced the hose clamp with the screw clamp when I changed the water pump, timing belt a few months ago. I'll take a picture and post it up tomorrow. Thanks tho

is that a bulge near the bottom at the clamp? might be time to replace the hose and inspect the part where the hose attaches for cracks. I hate to just throw parts at a problem, but there's not much else it could be.

 

Its a new hoses and it was happening before I put the new hose on.

 

did you inspect the flange the hose connects to for cracks? maybe leaking gasket at the bolt on area of flange (if applicable)?

(these kind of leaks drive me CRAZY!!)

 

loose that hose clamp, and get the regular spring style...Almost 100% that its leaking under that clamp

 

Had a spring clamp before the screw clamp and it leaked.

 

maybe a lower intake manifold leak?
