    Hey guys,

Thanks for the advice on block or add a leaf. I went with the add a leaf in fear of axle wrap and that I will be purchasing a camp trailer soon. My concern now is a small shake that I can feel in the steering. It started the day after I installed the add a leaf. I can only feel it when driving a low speeds and braking. I assumed it was rotor and or tire balance, but both checked out ok... I experimented by shifting into neutral while the shake was present, and the shake would disappear completely. I have absolutely no sign of a shake while driving at high speeds... Just to confirm my work on the lift, I had a local shop re torque the u bolts after 100 miles and to check my work. Everything turned out ok. I'm not sure if this made any sense due to lack of sleep, but here we go....

well on the plus side if shifting into neutral stop it, its not driveshaft related.

however that is a stronger indication the "vibration" is coming from the powertrain.. motor mounts ok? tranny mount? when's the last time the plugs were done... obviously no CEL right?

Road Force Tire Balancing uses a special wheel balancing machine that puts a load on the properly aired up wheel when its rotating on the machine. This lets the tire tech know if the tire needs to be clocked differently on the rim to help cancel out vibes. Once that is done a traditional hammer on or sticky weight is used to do the final wheel balance. Most dealerships and well equipped chain repair shops have them.

Went the dealer route to find the issue. Hoping it is not caused by my add a leaf and leveling kit. Do you think the installs could cause drivetrain damage?

Probably got screwed on price, but the issues are due to lack of a differential drop kit when the leveling kit was installed causing stress on the bearings. I'm paying 175 installed at the dealer. On the plus side, they washed my truck:)

Yes. It was a front diff drop. Paid 75 for kit and 90 for labor. I was surprised that they even supported lifts. They will install up to a 6" lift and warranty it...

Curious to see if the diff drop does anything, most people here would tell you it's useless.
