best lift

do any of you know what the best lift is for the cash. also needs to perform well.

I'm searching for the best option as well. I think you might want to specify the height you're looking for, as well as the intended function/purpose of the lift. Finally, try posting this in the suspension forum. I think you'll get a much better response there. This forum is for new member introductions.

All good things to consider to determine what kind of lift you want...

 

It's cool. We were all new once.

 

Bilstein 5100s from what I've seen are good. They are adjustable. You can get a discount on them.

 

There isn't a "BEST" lift. They ride a bit differently brand to brand. Some preload the stock coils, some have new coils, some have a combination. Some are designed for the street, some are serious offroad setups.

What is your goal with installing a lift in your truck?? and What is your budget (roughly)?

 

Well I live in rule Oklahoma (dirt roads mud and pot holes). I was just looking for about 3 inches lift and better off road performance.

 

There are tons of options for you- You are going to want to get a replacement suspension lift-So new coils or coilovers, extended shocks, and related hardware.

Toytec Lifts or Wheelers Offroad can hook you up.

 

Well the only thing I worry about is the cv's I went through a few of those on my old 86 toy. I know the gen 2 suspeniton is differnt.

 

If you go to 3 inches with Upper Control Arms and you make sure once the install is done you don't feel any binding/shimmy/vibration- You should be good to go.

Lots of folks around here have gone to 3inch lift with no issues.

 

I'm wanting to go 3" north as well. I have read a lot of good stuff about the Bilstein 5100's and AAL combo. It's pretty affordable and seems like a very sound option.

 

I have a fabtech lift and I love it!
