Yes I did and it is awesome.

I went from 31s to 32s and now to 33s. Don't let anyone, ANYONE, ever tell you that you do not need to regear with 33s.

My truck is awesome again. Drives like stock, except it s not.

 

I have a 2nd gen, but I would say you dont "need" to regear, but it is way nice!

 

Well, I don't have a 2nd gen. I was speaking from my perspective. It is no doubt different from yours. Good to hear that the 4.0L doesn't need it.

I do get that. It is not cheap to do.

All I'm saying is it makes a huge difference. I also hear a lot of folks saying it is not necessary when they have never experienced the difference for themselves.

Yes, I did forget that. I am so glad I didn't do 4.56s. I thought about it for a while. The 4.88s seem to be perfection so far.

 

Make your 4 banger even slower. Haha

I think 4.88's are a good match for the autos for sure. 4.56's seem to be a little better for the manuals since they get some higher rpms on the freeway. Not sure how.well this applies to 1st gens but it fits well for 2nds.

Not saying they didn't. But there is a ton if chemicals in everything. It's trying to get those out of your system more then anything. I have already slimmed up significantly. Can't wait for next week to see crossfit and rebuilding results.

I think it's also a tranny difference as well. Like Jon went to 5.29s on his 35s as Silas did and he said it was perfect. But Silas is an auto and Jon a stick shift. Jon hates the hwy now haha gets bad mpgs cause his motor is revved so high. 4.88s for him would have been better.

Either way..I've not felt compelled enough with my tranny to need gears yet..ill regear at some point..can't afford it though.
