Im not 100% sure if im correct on this, but today i brought my 2006 2wd prerunner doublecab trd in for the leaf spring thing and the intake noise hitting the fender...after 2 hrs of them (checking it) they told me....to go to home depot and buy some foam to squirt around the hose in fender and my truck doesnt qualify cause its not a 4x4 when the t-sb-0305-08 clearly states PRERUNNER. so i asked leo< service rep. at toyota of riverside in socal....is a PRERUNNER a 4x4?....he said the only vds(s) covered are:ju62n, ku72n, lu42n, mu52n, tu62n, tx62n, uu42n, and ux42n are the only ones covered. are all these 4x4 vins or are any 2wd? Any suggestions or managers to go to in the area?

I took mine to crown toyota and they did mine no problem. I would reccomend them. I think the either the green team or the lime team did it. I didnt even know what the tsb was and they forced it on me lol. Take it to Crown!

800-331-4331. I have not used it, but others have. Have you hit the bump stops? My guess is that is what they look at when they inspect it. Mine would bottom out even going over a small curb with nothing in the bed.

Your truck should be covered under TSB SU006-07 SEP 07. It clearly includes Prerunners. Print it out and take it in with you to the dealer. Carrying a bike in the back should show that the suspension is not right.

toyota revised the -07 one with -08 and their saying now that only 4x4s covered...even tho it says prerunner. like they all have different leaf springs in them....and it has bottomed out for sure...i have 2 bikes and all my desert stuff in the bed. and when i go to the river i put a seadoo in the bed. and all the times ive hauled bags of concrete.

this is what i ended up doing.....took it to crown toyota..they checked it and said no cause it was out of factory warranty and into my 100k. i called the warranty side and argued back and forth. finally it came down to the dealer verifying they were "sagging" and they covered it. 1800$ worth of work...rides a little stiffer but worth it...thanks everyone for the help

Will this cover the 2009 model year? Mine is a 2009 PreRunner TRD Sport (4x2) that I just picked a few days ago and loaded the bed with bags of concrete and it was bottoming out pretty bad...

I did notice on the driver’s side door that it had a yellow sticker that stated load capacity had been decreased by about 280lbs I think.

I’m going to call the 800 # as I’m starting to be very unhappy... First my radio stops working on the ride home from buying the truck and now this...

I love the truck, just want stuff to work how it’s supposed to..

What was their reason for not doing the intake tsb?

I would probably use foam taped insulation not the spray stuff. I had the tsb done & mine started rattling again. Going to go the insulation route but not the expanding spray kind.

on with the 800 number now.. They even told me i have an extended warranty the previous owner bought that he transferred into my name!! I'm good till 10/09/2012 or 77,000.. On hold now, he sounds like he's makin it happen..

    Update:
Sounds like they're gonna make the TSB happen. Wish i called the 800 number before. AND the warranty - it might happen - the previous owner didn’t sign it over, so it might just disappear.. but that is in the works too.
