Clean your terminals like someone already suggested.... then charge the thing right up.

I had that happen to my new taco 5 months after purchase..... I got a boost... got home..cleaned the terminals and it's been "tickety-boo" till yesterday at -30 c..... Tom did not want to start with that 7-yr old battery...

I boosted him with the motorcycle battery and drove to NAPA... got a new and better battery...(more cold cranking AMps)..

I should be good for another 7-8 more years...

Clean terminals are like practicing Safe Sex... "You gotta keep it clean"......

Just a few little things. It's my DD
My 09 sport battery died at the start of winter this year. 20,000 miles on it so they don't last forever. I was very disappointed about it only lasting 3 yrs and 20k but it happens. It died the first cold night we had.

3 years on a standard factory battery isn't too bad.

Mileage has nothing to do with it however.

The two most common causes of premature wet car battery failures are abuse and neglect. Abuse is excessive vibration, high temperatures, over or under charging, deep discharges or frozen electrolyte. Neglect is lack of water, corrosion, or sulfation.

Been abusing my factory battery since 07. 120* swing (summer to winter), plenty of jolts and vibrations, winching... Still going!

Let's see... Tacoma is on it's THIRD battery in 5 years yet my Camry has the same battery that was put in Mar 04.... Both are exposed to the same thing, day in and day out.
