I was a victim of the fiberwerx lie. Travis from fiberwerx, a moderator on DR, was selling McNeil glass saying he was helping them get rid of inventory. The fenders I bought from him did not fit well at all, lots of warping I didn't notice on pick up.

They must have some serious family issues to do that. Thats fucked up. Kinda feel bad about having fiberwerx now. friendly competition is one thing but spreading rumors like that for gains is just wrong.

Are you talking Mcneil Fiber or Chad Mcneil?

    http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/parts-accessories/164848.htm

I'm sure some of you guys have heard of Chad McNeil fiberglass. He is no longer in business, but we have a stock pile of his old parts that we need to get rid of. All of these parts are brand new and never been mounted.

****PLEASE DON"T GET CHAD MCNEIL MIXED UP WITH McNEIL RACING - 2 DIFFERENT COMPANIES****

    :notsure:

That whole Chad McNeil thing is old news. As far as McNeil goes, they've been at each other's necks for a long time. For one of them to try to one up the other, nothing new there either.

They may be related by blood, but to all branch off in the same industry it's bound to happen at one time or another. Don't get pulled into the family bs and just buy who ever has the best glass in the end and let them continue on their family feud.

when I bought them he didn't have that big *** comment about the two different McNeil companies. After I bought them I heard all the rumors and never had anyone explain

curious to ask, is anyone running glassworks bedsides (6ft) that have tires wider than the glass? i am about an inch wider than it with my new tires. reason being is that my tires are rubbing on my bypasses in the rear from axle flex (side to side). if you do, what was your solution or would i just need to get a bigger bulge?

    ...too much shit to list.
My tires are wider than my glass, but my spring pack goes flat and I have my bumps set just before the tires bump the glass.
How bad are they rubbing the bypasses? Would a 1/4" larger wheel spacer fix it?

Not a bad idea. If it does, I would get a set of ARP studs front and rear that an 1"+ longer then stock then it'd work out well

I sent you a picture. But like I said, ill probably throw my 1.5s on the rear today and see how if it rubs more
That's what I'm planning on doing. I'm just trying to get everything cleared first and fitted correctly so I don't have to keep messing around with that stuff.

This was mine bumped to the frame rails with bfg 295's, glassworks.
You could cut your fiberglass with a jig saw and clean the lines us with a flap disc on an angle grinder...
Don't forget about gnarticulation, the outside edge of your tire will bump higher than full bump with a flat axle. Especially depending on where your bumps are (inboard/outboard) Ask me how I know, ha

Tires will tuck in though when articulated.
Mine was notched a little higher than bumping the frame so you might be good.
