Idaho BS thread in the PNW

The day I picked it up, they were out test driving it and the guy came back saying the locker wouldn't engage. He said he thought somebody had hit the dash button while they had the locker mechanism off the diff when they were building the diff and the fix was simple. Take the mechanism off and manually push the fork over to reset everything. Which he did and then retested and it worked correctly. Or so he said.

Today was the first opportunity for me to test it myself.

 

It definately turns harder when it is engaged and it makes the inside tire slip in a turn. It was doing this. I am certain that the diff is actually locking and that pushing the button is able to control this. Its just that the dash indicator is not providing suporting evidence.

 

Since my skids are still off, and I'm still in a break in period for the diffs, I cannot truly test what the front will do yet. It did engage and it became very, very difficult to steer. Took huge effort to make even a slight turn. No traction test for it yet.

Feb, March, April...what is next. melting snows/warmer weather.

 

This is typical for me as well and is exactly what happened today... except for the blinking dash light.

 

When I said something is damaged I meant a plug or wire. Haha. Not the locker itself since it is working.

well..yea that whistle is pretty bad..i better it needs replaced..thats gonna cost me like 2k..hahaha

 

idk about that. When a seal goes bad in a turbo it smokes..not just whistles..

boost leak maybe..

idk i doubt its wrong. But idk enough about those cars.

Yep twice actually back when I was in high school... I didn't get to go down black bear but part of it you can drive up to till it turns into a one way
Cabs all dried out probably not going to put the carpet back in
... maybe just get weathertechs instead

 

well you never know there could always be a stop in Idaho Craig's leading so we may end up in Seattle till its all said and done haha... I know were stopping in Texas so we'll see
