Yeah I was kind of pissed/not sure what to do when I first got the estimate. But they're solid guys and hooked me up with bearings/solid spacer. It still penciled out to less than ECGS, and they went through the whole drivetrain.

Gonna sell my 4.10 3rd also..

    ECGS buys gears from JTs.

I like ARB, but they seriously bone you on little things!

$60 solenoid, $36 quick connect fitting an hose, $18 rocker switch..

    You like that compressor?

Yeah for the most part. I wish it were a little faster, but I shouldn't complain too much about 4 minutes per tire. haha. Some people have it much worse.. On paper it beats out all of Viair's non dual compressors and ARB's dual compressor beats out their duals (haven't ever compared it to them in person, but a lot of people like the viair compressors), so we can't be too bad off as far as compressors go. I know it is pretty reliable too. I picked it because I got to use one a lot in Moab. We filled up 14 or 15 tires before it overheated (overheat protection shut it off) in the summer and it only took about 5 minutes for it to kick back on and do the last 6 tires and the guy still has it and it is working great for him.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Yeah, you make some good points. I guess people do a lot worse things for no reason at all. At least these guys have some direction, not just drunk hicks tearing up the woods, or dumbass ricers street racing in the city.

I just have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of building a $30k-$50k buggy by hand from the ground up and then purposely beating the shit out of it just to climb a small rock face or crazy incline. Just seems like too much effort and money for too little reward. I just don't see the gratification in mashing the gas and bouncing around aimlessly hoping to make it up, where's the finesse and feeling of accomplishment in that?

The disregard for "Treading Lightly" kinda irks me as well. Granted I'm sure it's all on privately owned and sanctioned land, but still they really tear up the terrain. What about the tress?!?! THE TREES ARE CRYING!!! :rasta:

I have mad respect for sponsored events like KOH, Dakar, and Baja 1000, since those events have a more diverse appeal and IMO require much more skill and endurance than rock bouncing, but equally dependent and grueling on the build of the rig. Anyhoo - not trying to bust your balls, the video was definitely entertaining and enjoyable just got me thinking "Damn, so much carnage"

That rally fighter is crazy :goingcrazy: The control arm design and front/mid engine are pretty impressive. The body design reminds me of a old AMX or Javelin with a new Eclipse shell/rear-end, pretty unique.

    Man that thing looks fun!

You saved about $800 in labor costs by doing the removal and reinstall yourself.

That seems like a lot but you got a lot. Seems fair. Good to hear they were stand up about it.

OK as a new member in Oregon! What do you guys think of the front bearing fix that will stop the vibration in the front diff. of the Tacoma. ECGS has the fix but has anyone out here tried it and what would it cost to have someone do it. And do you know anyone that would do it.

Yea, its definitely not the most skill intense type of offroading in the world haha. It is very impressive how hard they can rail them before they break. The abuse and air they do take is ungodly. Doesn't look like the most spectator safety orientated affair, but they do tend to rope most of the trails off at least somewhat, at least for the official events. Not exactly my type of wheeling, but definitely fun to watch. At the end of the day those buggies are just incredible, but their wheeling is a lot like mudding. 2nd and drop it! Throttle out! My passion remains with rock crawling and desert racing haha.

So stoked for KOH. If all goes well, I'll make it again this year. However it comes at the gf's wrath, her bday is on race day...

Last I had heard the Rallyfighter was $70kish. I wonder what prompted the price increase? I would love to have one. It would be so awesome to have something you could legitimately rail on and DD without having to cut everything up and mod it out. The Raptor could take a page from it for sure. There is a guy in Corvegas that has one. Still haven't personally seen it, but multiple friends have.
