    I did not see the process but Carl told me that gutted the clocks internals on the back and just re-used the glass face. Pretty nice job if you ask me. I really like it.

    Ah. Well they alone can make a huge difference in sound and power.

    Yea i am going to try an make something like that for mine. Mine will end up being more square cause my sub is much deeper then that thing will allow.

    It is stupid expensive though. I want to make one to regain some back seat storage space.

    Might do it when my dad is back. Not sure though but it'll happen.


    yea you just take the clock out and then just cut out the slots for the switches. Quite simple really. Works great. Where i'll put my locker switches too someday...

    not really. With 5.29s puts it at same as stock ratio or less.

    and my rig isn't just an expo rig. I want to ride some nasty trails too.

    otherwise id just leave the suspention alone. Get some new rear shocks. Mid travel up front..call it a 2000 day. Simple and would work great for expo/overlanding and mild trails.

    I dont want to do just that.

    I want to expedition where no one would ever expedition. I want to do the bad trails that only "hardcore" rigs do. And i want to do it on IFS with a RTT on the back :D

    Front LT and a Cantilever rear setup with 37s or 35s at the least will take me MANY a place.

    plus if i clock the T case when i do the crawl box i can have a flat belly skid setup so i can bash the hell outa it. So i guess..yes i am being unorthodox..and just going for a more wild look and build..

    My goal is to one day do a trip all the way down the west coastish of central and south america hitting various other trails and such along the way. Then back up the eastish side and to the east side of the states.

    For that ill build a trailer to carry extra fuel, water, and lots of parts and tools mainly. And even the RTT if needed.

    But id also get custom CV shafts made too that a stronger then the stock ones. But if you drive careful enough i really don't think it'll be an issue. With a crawl box it'll help a lot.

    Should make for a fun truck. Now i just need to win the lottery..

    im sorry, but i agree with ben here. 37s on an expo rig (and one with ifs at that) just seems like too much. Its like you are trying to do too much with the truck. You want 37s and a crawl box for crawling, you want a cantileaver long travel set up for going fast, and you want a trailer and an RTT with supplies to last 2 weeks so you can go expo. I mean shit just pick two, but you are trying to make one truck do everything. Dont shoot me for just throwing out my opinion.

    I semi agree. I can see why you want them and the direction you want to go, but I think you lose alot of your ability in taking the vehicle place. What I mean is say you wanna drive to texas, then mexico, etc. Well your gonna spend a large mount of time on the hwy, 37s become not so practical. Even just exploring I dont see the 37's giving you really that much more of an advantage compared to what you could do with 35s. But then again what do i know lol Either way will be sweet as hell.

    Duh..haha Thats the point im going for..the most versitale rig possible..i don't see how that would be a bad thing..

    No i want canitlever rear cause you can get 18'' of wheel travel man. I don't want to go go go go fast! Id keep my leaf setup most likely or loose a couple leafs and do coil overs with them. But the Canitlever gives you LOTS of wheel travel without coming through the bed..that is the key point. This will actually help my ride a lot. Instead of doing like what Silas did which won't behave that great on road.

    Well trust me man..i have seen how big an advantage just 35s are over 33s..37s must be BIG differeence..

    Jk man I can see how 37s would be awesome, I guess I was jut thinking onroad conditions more. That sounds pretty sweet, and is gonna be tall especially with your rtt...dont roll again lol.

    yea ill have to change how i drive..which i already drive it MUCH more timid then i used to. Used to drive it like a freaking race truck..haha no more! haha

    and after doing reading with the 5.29s and 37s..its supposed to be very close to stock if not a bit better...:notsure: so i don't think the on road part will be that big a deal. Width is what matters there..and im already going front LT so thats not going change.
