If I get the OME Lift with top spacer to give me 3 inches what size tires would I need for an 18 inch wheel without having to do a front cab mount chop? and what specs for the 18 inch wheel for example the backspacing and width 18x9?

No sway on mine. There are some marks where the UCA's are close to the coils. No biggie but if I can get rid of it that would be nice.

Probably 275/65/18 is as big as you can go with minimal trimming. I think 4.5" back spacing

Would I be able to go with a bigger tire if I use 17 inch wheels?

Wheel size wont matter. You can go bigger but if you go up to a 285 there is more of a chance of having to do the cab mount chop. You could always go with tall skinnys if you just want a large diameter tire. I have heard less trimming with a 255/85/16 or 255/80/17, but you will need a skinny wheel also, like 7-8 inches wide...like stock wheels

Are you talking wider, taller or both?
    275/65/18 32.07 x 10.83
Not sure if these would require a cab mount chop.
    285/70/17 32.71 x 11.22
    275/70/18 33.16 x 10.83

Just keep in mind, the farther the tire sticks out the more likely you are to rub the cab mount and the bottom of the fender flares. My tires stick out over an inch (i should get pictures) and i had to do the cab mount chop to avoid rubbing during normal driving, i also only have 2.5" of lift and your alignment also plays a role in determining if you will rub or not. Basicly of you go with 285/70/17 or an equivalent size you can not be sure how much rubbing you will have. If someone tells you that you wont have much trimming or that you wont have to do the cab mount chop because of the correct backspacing/offset and enough lift, they may be wrong, there is to many factors to know for sure. So either go with a smaller tire or be ready to trim if you have to.

back spacing will play a role and look at a 275/70/17. I would love to go with this size but I really want the duratracs and they don't make them this size. BFG AT/KO is though.

I will not recommend a 9" rim. It will rub. This is the setup that I had :
tires:285/75/16, rims:Moto Metal MO951 Black 16x9,-12mm Offset, and 4.5" Backspace and I hate it. It rub to much.

I've got 285/70-17 with full 3" ome 885 lift up front, TC UCA, and 17x9 4.5 BS, -12 mm off set. Caster when it was at 1.4 degrees rubbed can mount, and little bit of the fender, only in reverse. After changing caster to 2.8 degrees, no rub anywhere, will probably rub if wheeled hard (which I would expected) ill find out soon enough
