How many open/open 35's do we wheel with though? haha And you watched Nate do obstacles on open/open 37's that I'm not even sure I could have done dual locked on 33's. Although damage may have been the reason for that. haha

Well yeah, had he had just one locker he would have gotten up that easy. I thing I would have high centered in the holes his 37's made though... haha If I had been fully armored I probably would have tried it:D

    Engage front and rear

I agree with reliability. I dont see how 37s affect that..

and i kinda disagree..tires make a pretty big difference..

ha! thats what i am wanting!

    and Do EETT!!

I agree..Jon is open open..and he made it up some stuff soooooooo damn easy without spinning and some stuff i didn't try while spinning..but he still made it..

Yep..Jons truck is way more capable then mine just do to ground clearance.

first gen cant handle 37's 35's are the breaking point. if he can come up with a way to get a second gen taco diff and shafts under there then yeah he would be fine.. ive looked into it lots when i was first thinking of LT on my 4 door but it's heavy and would break if i jumped it hard. thats what lead me to my SAS decition and if im gonna SAS then i might as well go big.

Silas beat his rig pretty hard this weekend and his 1st gen cvs held up to 37's. He's not S/C'd though and a lot lighter than you.

True about the one trip part. In moab he broke both of his non oem ones and has yet to break his oems running 35's this whole time though. Konsta goes through so many cuz he runs the cheapos and has an S/C.

I don't know about that in Konsta's case... I think the 7.5" clamshell is about as much of a grenade anymore as the 8" rearend in a 2nd gen (on a heavy 1st gen with big tires and lots of power anyway). haha. Last time Konsta broke something in the front end it was the ADD side gear. That twisted apart before a non-oem cv broke. The non oem cvs are cheaper and easier to replace than that damn side gear. haha. We had to pull both cv's and the ADD off of the front diff just to replace the side gear.

I wonder what silas's rig weighs since it seems more stripped than armored up. haha

It would be cool to get some of those RCV's, no boots to worry about and they are supposed to be really strong, but at $2000 (can't remember if that was for a pair or each:eek:). That is far too pricey, plus that would just move the weak point to the ADD side gear or worse the ring and pinion.

I didn't get shit... Got a few inches yesterday morning and like half an inch this morning. Cameron and my parents woke up to several inches and were up to at least 6" last I knew yesterday.

Cameron and my parents live south of me and this is in Rexburg north of me, this morning... haha

Wow... I just went and measured some stuff on my Taco and for kicks I measured the tire height at 20 psi (I have been running 20 psi for winter). It measured about 32" even. I believe I was running 40 psi, but may have been 32 psi, when I measured them at 33" even. So I have lost an inch. I wonder what they measure when I have been wheeling at 8 psi. haha

Not reall he can crawl better then me with his 5.29s. Sometimes I feel like even at idle I blunder throu stuff.

And hence why I'd get custom front cvs.

I know right!! Bad ass truck if you as me

From what I've read it has more to do with his idiotic obsession with flooring his truck over shit that breaks them. I won't do that ever. Hence the crawl box.

2000 bucks each  kinda stupid too if you ask me. I read somewhere so,done had them and they worked great plus he did break one and eh replaced it no questions asked.

    Still..4k for cvs..haha

    Could be close to 31"

    Big tires pay off

But really I'd get so sort if heavy duty custom shaft made and get the ring and pinon heat treated and maybe chromoly covered or whatever Jon did to his t make them stronger.

Yes it's a risk...but..I wanna do it haha and if shut hits the fan..ill just go back to 35s.

It'll be a project no matter what.
