For those of you with sliders, whats the best way to clean them off for repaint? Before i just hit em with sandpaper to knock the little bit of surface rust off. Was wondering if there was a better/easier solution?

With a lift and careful driving you can wheel shoecreek and Uwharrie without sliders, ive done it plenty of times. This was my first trip with them actually. But it is much better being able to see an obstacle and thinking, "its okay itll just hit the slider".

I just hit mine w/ a steel brush and paint over the bad spots. Not really worried about them too much... they're for protection

lol well im looking for a matching set of 5 to be honest. but who knows? u give me a good enough deal that knocks the socks off the deal my uncle can get me on 5 new firestones and summit racing rims at $55 a piece, then we can talk lol. i just honestly cant turn down this offer though. my uncle can get me a hell of a deal plus lifetime balance and rotations. and these summit racing rims are just too affordable lol.

well balls... and barry can MAKE me a tiregate!?!?!? because im looking for a really affordable yet sylish way to store the spare in the bed if i cant fit it underneath as is. honestly im not sure what materials would cost for something like that. but i have a feeling once i pay for materials, any additional labor will put me out of my price range. sorry to be so picky and cheap, but im BROKE! lol. but if barry can hook me up at a price i cant turn down, then hell i may have to get me a Burry Fab Tiregate lol

For everyone with welded on sliders:

Where did you go to have them welded on? I would like to find a place or person that has done a slider install before. Getting ready to order my sliders this week.
