I got a little mud under the hood yesterday so it's a little dirty.

It's a little more yellow in the pic it looks. It is a little rusty though...

Remember the purpose of the fuse is to melt before your wires do if you short circuit anything so if you go with a fuse rated higher than your wires/other electrical components, then there's a chance that you'll burn out something more difficult to change than a fuse. I think 10 amps should be fine for you.

The answer is more dependent on the gauge, length, and distance of the wire.

I apologize in advance for the over explanation - I cant help it.

The fuse is there to protect the wiring.

The fuse should be rated for lower amperage than the wire is rated (the lowest rated wire in the circuit), and higher than the amp draw of what you're powering.

It's generally acceptable to use a fuse that's rated 20-25% higher than the amp draw.

At 8.33, 20% higher would be 9.9996. So a 10a fuse should be fine.

Again, the fuse is there to protect the wiring. I don't know what yours is, but I wouldn't use wire smaller than 16 ga.

Not to mention a 100W Siren is only making 100W at absolute peak and average currents at normal levels are much lower than 100W. Even when it hits the 100w peak it would be very short duration in the mS range I would suspect.

    Fuse panel looks great.

Do you guys have any pictures of the build process?

This stuff works pretty good for the engine compartment:

Haha well thank you everyone for the responses!
It should be good. The wire is what came in the wire harness for the siren but it should be just fine :D

And here is the pic of everything finally wired up!
I have the bed lights, siren, and cb wired in.

Today I wired the cb and put in a little plug so whenever I need it i can just plug it in in the cab with no problems.
Im just glad everything works still!

No I didn't take any during the build. I think John took pictures during the whole thing maybe he ended up taking some during it but nothing I think specifically of the build.

I went mudding so I just need to wash out the engine bay.

I didnt take any either but its pretty "simple". the hardest part is just cutting bending and figuring out the lexan mount.. which I lucked out because Scott did the hard work on that :D

Yeah I just took the time to make a cardboard version before cutting the lexan so that everything would just fall into place once the plastic was cut.
