I love my 40, nice sound and not too bad of a drone inside the truck.

i would say the 40 is on the louder end of the spectrum for "tolerable noise levels". jason will be a better refference though, becuase i have a larger diamiter y-pipe, and have the exhause dumped directly out of the muffler, before the axle, both of which make it louder in the cab.

 

if u want it a lil quieter get a 50 series, i got the mbrp recently, it's pretty quiet, u only hear it when u start it up and step on it, very comfortable, at first i wanted louder the better, but now i'm glad it's the quieter the better

 

I goit 40's on my truck if it matters.... haha

there are a few trucks i may look at..but nothing yet.

if mine sells i have another truck I can use till i pick up the new one. figured it will be easier to pick something up when i have the cash in my hand.

 

hoping to be a silverado with the 5.3l motor. extended cab or crew cab. as long as its 2008 or newer

that 5.3 is a bad ass motor. get the crew cab and dont look back. its so nice having all that room.

 

yeah I love the 5.3.

dad has it in his suburban. the original engine had over 250k on it with zero problems..

we got bored and put the performance 5.3 from chevy in it. SUCH a beast.

we had the transmission beefed up to handle the extra HP. we can chirp the tires from first to second with an auto ahah. I think he has like 34s on the truck as well lol

 

yeah i buddy of mine had an caddy with the 5.3 in it but it was supercharged. so he bought a new sierra with the 5.3 and threw the supercharger in it and its a hell of a truck.

 

once you go full size you never go back.

 

dont plan on it ahah.

Ill always have the need for towing and such so a fullsize just makes sense.

if the tundy wasnt so damn fugly I may consider it..

but imma chevy guy at heart. only got into a taco cuz we get family discounts ahah

 

i thought the tundras were awesome till i got the ford and a buddy got the tundra and saw the difference and now im glad i didnt get the tundra.

 

So jess told me she had a knocking sound coming from her front suspension. Sure enough the nut on the passenger UCA bolt was MIA. Luckily I had an extra nut from somewhere and got it on there. Tomorrow I'll have her truck to wash and check bolt/nut.

 

I bet jess went nuts
