What can ruin good carne asada - bad tortillas! Take it from a Mex, best corn tortillas in east county are at Garcia's Puebla Mercado in El Cajon, on Main next to Cadillac. Maybe north county also - my parents in Esco always have me bring them three bags. Best flour tortillas are at Cuatro Milpas by Chicano Park - no contest. Great food too.

The tortillas at Kennedy's are good on the weekends as well, they are in an ice chest keeping warm right of the press. Vallartas supermercado in esco has a tortillaria in house and are pretty good too. Fresh tortillas with butter or queso fresco are so good.
I know what I'm taking about too, I'm about the whitest guy in this town, except for Mikey, lol

Quick Q guys: I'm considering buying a 2002 V6 Taco from a co-worker. He said auto tranny has a quirk. Occassionally, when he puts it in Drive, it moves sluggishly. To get it going he goes to First then puts it in Drive. He hasn't taken it to a shop but spoke to one stealership tech who said it is probably the shifter that may need to be readjusted. Any one encounter a similar problem?

It sounds like I'm gonna be teaching a firearms safety course, anyone got any tips?
I was planning on printing out the 10 commandments and giving a copy to each of the women attending, then after they know that show them how to hold a firearm, how to index, and how to safely clear a weapon.

It MIGHT be an adjustment problem, how to check......put it in D, go under the truck and make sure the shifter arm is in the detent correctly, not half way between one and the other, if it is in the proper place, probably going to be pulling the trans or at least the valve body depending on the exact problem.

The very first thing I would say to class after introduction is....

EVERY GUN IS LOADED !! Meaning that when 1 person hands another person a firearm its ALWAYS considered loaded until the recieving person clears it for ammo

    (nothing chambered)

If its the A340F (or any other Toyota auto) Someone had better get it serviced ASAP, or your going to be looking at a rebuild up to the tune of $3300 , that was the highest quote I was given, luckily James at the truck shop got me a good used one for a $1000

Just like to try and help, I am not one of those bashing asshole keyboard warriors trying to act like a know it all, gets you nowhere, I hate those types of people on forums and there are TONS of em...so I try to balance it out, lol.

    You are very welcome!

Hahahahahaha!!! :D Doug, giving safety advice!!?? Lead by example, example of what NOT to do, lol

Probably, but I have seen a couple of them not engaging the gear properly due to adjustment, but not a very common thing, but still a possibility and it wouldnt hurt to check that, it only takes a couple of minutes anyhow just to eliminate that, but a trans service is ALWAYS a good idea regardless if the trans is still in good shape.
