    I don't know what could cause the hum. Mine seems to work ok with no weird noises. I don't know enough about electrical stuff to offer any ideas but I am curious to know what is going on with it in case mine starts doing something like that.

    Yeah what is weird is mine did the hum before it only started working on high. It only worked on high for about 2 weeks then started working normal again no hum. Then I figured I'd do the fix, right after the fix the hum is back.... crazy

    I'm going to try Headcase's suggestion first and try the WD-40 method. If not, I'll most likely try Gregman's suggestion with the new TSB blower motor resistor and pigtail install.:pccoffee:

    Bought the parts for the TSB (My truck is long out of warranty) and did the fix this afternoon. The insulation on the wire was broken and bare wire was showing through and there was a hole burned through the connector as well. So far so good.

    No it's not a chirp tick, it is def in my blower motor for Air. It's a very steady hummm, I will record it and post it.

    I had posted numbers for a new plug that was cheap. OEM numbers are in the TSB as stated.

    I would go ahead and do them both at the same time. My pigtail had burned through the connector and part of the wire was bare as well. My thinking is if you are going to do it, do it right the first time so you don't have to do it again.

    Decided to try this fix from Toyota. I already changed out the plug on the wire harness once.
    Ordered parts and had them delivered but cost $70. Brought to work and used an Ohm meter
    to check out. Has anyone done this yet? Anyways Im not able to get any reading on the
    Blue/Black wire to any other. This is the 2nd highest speed. Not installing just yet until I talk
    to Dealer. Any others do this?

    My blower motor quit working on all speeds. Could this be the problem if it's not a fuse? 2007 tacoma.
