you'll be fine just go around the puddles and ill go through them.. Honestly though i doubt well see any that deep last time i was out there there was only one that deep and and it just leaned the truck really bad didn't even go all the way in..

 

That's the problem... I'll watch you go through them, then I will want to go through them... haha

I've read far too many threads of 2nd gens going through some water and then a week or two later both their starter and their alternators are toast... I'd rather spend money on replacing parts with better parts, not replacing expensive parts with equal parts.

 

my starter went out in the heat of the summer two years ago playing on the dunes had to drag her home then bought a life time warranty one so the next ones free.

 

Made it up and back with no incident. Did see a bad ass 4runner, it was black or dark blue or green, I don't remember, not sure of year either but it was newer, that was at Cabelas on Saturday late morning. Then as we were leaving town, Nampa rather, we saw a silver second gen with an arb and a shell with a roof rack. Thought maybe they might have been someone on here.

 

Nope. I am 1 of 3 2nd gennners on here and they only one that has a plate bumper and I don't live very close to Nampa at all. Haha I am the only one that is silver too. Haha

The snow pile from the plow truck at work is feaking giant. Taller than my truck tempted to go play on it during lunch.

I zipped over to albertsons a little bit ago and for kicks I put it in 4Lo and locked both lockers and stood on the throttle as I left each of the 3 stop signs Surprising how fast it can shift through the first 3 gears and I still get up and move pretty well. I tried that in 2Hi with the locker locked and I just spin through the first couple gears and pretty much don't move. haha.

 

most shops won't touch it with bad joints due to liability issues..

 

well..its not the actual joint on the hub?? they said it was the part on the rack?

yea. huh..odd..never really heard of that..

 

thats the inner joint yes they do go bad. typically from bigger tires.

 

haha who would though Ben of all people here would have that go bad..lol

shame youre in boise i have 4 spares (useded) but in good shape. I could have instaled on in 20 min.
