Flowmaster 40 lower performance?

When I had my super 40 it actually droned less and got quieter after i chopped the tail pipe after the axle. I have a 10 series now and almost no drone at all.

 

well now I'm debating adding it at all, as I don't want some annoying drone sound when on the freeway.

My tires are fairly loud already, so I'm not sure I'll be able to hear the FM40 anyways.

 

I just got rid of my 40 series. Probably couldn't of made a better decision.

Some people like Flowmaster. Some do not. Personally, I like the 304 stainless steel construction with sound output of Magnaflow mufflers. They won't rust. They last, and they sound very good.

Look at the 40 series and tell my if there is check mark for the 4/6 cylinder option. My point here is that its made for a v8 or more. Thats why I was getting killed from MPGs and power. I really liked the sound though I cant say anything bad about that.

Ur point? The delta flow works fine, but the original is not good for them. I had the original, which I strongly reccomend not to get.

I wrote off chokemasters long ago, so I guess my bad.

 

Flowmaster has done one thing right. Brand recognition. Everybody knows them. That's why people always jump on them.

 

Its true, my FM40 muffler made me lose low end power.
