Alright guys need an idea here. I ordered some leaf sprigs and had them shipped to a buddy in Oklahoma. He is coming up here on military orders so he can check them as luggage for free, saving 200 or so in shipping. Now when they arrived they were not boxed just the springs themselves. I don't like the idea of checking them like that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to pack them up quick and cheap?

I've checked steel bridge pieces with nothing but cardboard, shrink wrap, and duct tape. They traveled fine from Alaska to Montana.

Worked at FedEx for four years, saw a LOT of loose leaf springs. They ship fine.
