Getting new tires on my tacoma and I would like some input. Most of my driving is city and highway and some offroad some towing. Looking for an AT tire with moderately low noise and good wet traction. I live in south Florida and during the summer it rains..... A LOT. I'm down to duratracs (which I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about), hankook dynapro atm, cooper discoverer at3 (heard good things about them but don't particularly like the look of them) general at2 (good reviews but loud) and firestone destination a/t (looking at these cause I can get a good deal on them but have read mixed reviews)
    Looking at 265/70-17 and 275/70-17
    Appreciate any input on this

I vote duratrac. I just got mine and I love it; it has such a meaty look. Compare to stock, you will notice noise but it is not annoying at all and I love the noise.

Im running Cooper Zion LTZs, they are considered a hybrid....which is between a radial and a AT. I love them, they ride perfect, only have about 3000 miles on them..... not the best pics but gives you an idea. More pics in my build

The wheels are turned in the picture and the 265/75/16 fits snugly, I have about 1/2 inch margin when in full turn. No lift.

Hankook Dynapro ATM... quiet on the highway, works great in mud, snow, sand, desert... could be the best all around tire that is reasonably priced and popular on TW, too.

Oh, and they are also 265/75-16... fits perfect, no rub, makes speedometer read correctly (instead of too fast)!

Have you looked into the Nitto Terra Grappler? That's what I'm going to replace my Goodyears (not DuraTrac) with. Everyone I know who runs them swears by them and is pretty loyal to them.

I've heard the nittos wear quick and have a lot of noise. Anyone with the hankooks notice any difference in power loss with the e load tire?

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Based on this i think you should rule out duratracs. I have duratracs and i love them, but they are one of the most aggressive AT's you can buy and it doesn't seem like you want anything to aggressive. I have also run firestone destination AT's, they are pretty much on the other side of the spectrum compared to duratracs. They basically ride like highway tires but they wont be to impressive offroad, i thought they did really well in rain and light snow, duratracs are awesome in deep snow but i doubt you have to worry about that.

X2. Except mine are 275/55 20. Great tire in all weather conditions. Have put 15,000 miles on them.
