Got ya, so it is only reading about 88% of what it should be. I thought you meant it was reading 88% over or under. haha In that case if you were doing 50 it was say your were doing either 6 mph or 94 mph. haha. If my rig were reading 88% over I would hit the governor (115mph) at just 61 mph:eek: Talk about a good way to keep you from speeding. haha

You just need some 40's or so and the tires and gears will counter each other and your speedo will be accurate again:rolleyes: haha

I was looking at crawlboxes yesterday and it may be different for you since you are in Canada, but I was noticing that inchworm's setup is about $300 cheaper than Marlin's crawlbox for our Tacomas.

You can also get a gear driven tcase (can be j shift or twin stick) for our Tacos from inch worm as well, and if you really wanted to go crazy, a 2nd crawlbox, so you are running triple cases. haha Then you can run a 4.7 tcase with a 4.7 crawlbox for crawling and then run just the 2.28 crawlbox when you want go fast 4Lo.

There you go:D Just add a bigger fuel pump and split the line and run one S/C and fuel line to the left 3 cylinders and the other S/C and fuel line to the right 3 cylinders:D You'll have to come up with some custom fuel rails and probably head and several other things but once you get all the tuning done and every thing is synchronized properly you will have one unique setup!:D haha:rolleyes:

    Don't know yet.

And only other is the wy trip this fall which hasn't yet been fully planned

Yea but the difference with inchworms is you have to build it into the tcase pretty much. Martin crawlers just bolts up.

To some that matters. Others it doesn't.

wow that come out wrong, you ever sit there and work and type at the same time lol

as you can see my multitasking skills are weak, i was talking to a customer about building a probe into his system and typing about the crawl box...... lol

the inchworm has had its fair share of issues, some of which left people with undrivable rigs, dont get me wrong i bet the marlin box does as well, but I know the build quality is higher, though i believe they use the same layout though

Wyatt stands behind the marlin for a reason, i know the guy on pirate still hasnt from the last i seen running the dualcase lefty isnt perfect and the maiden voyage was not pretty he got there but it was undrivable

Yep! I love my KM2's. Haven't had them scare me on ice yet. So far they have performed really well. They just aren't tall enough. Haha. Get me high centered in deep snow and let me drag bottom through obstacles. Haha

Good luck finding a shop that will sipe used tires. No one around here will do that.

I see. I dont know much about them. That blue rig that competed in the Ultimate adventure was running their crawlbox and it performed great other than whining at high speeds but from what I understand they were demoing one of the 1st ones and inchworm fixed that after.

I thought there was a guy on here running the case and crawlbox and I haven't followed it but I thought it was working fine for them.

not sure of their reasoning. I just know that I asked for both my original tires and my current set if they could be siped later on and was told no

I imagine I will be like that after my physics test on friday... integrals were far too long ago for me to remember them very well and I am sinking in that class very quickly:pout:

hm. Must be a 1st gen thing then haha

No kidding man. Mine are was scarey especially since all the little snow we get just gets packed down real hard and freezes.

Shouldn't have got a land yatch  :p

no way man. Mine slides like crazy. And don't give me the fat tire thing since we had that big discussion about how my contact pattern is pretty much the same surface area as yours..or something.

    Liability issues again

i think there is a DIY sipe thread on here..though id be a bit sketched to do that myself.

I know. haha. I need some 15.50" wide tires so I can run them at 4 psi and not have to worry about throwing a bead. haha
    Like this guy:

Same surface area if you guys both weigh the same and are running the same psi. You are a lot heavier than Ben and running a lower psi I imagine so you should have a lot more surface area than him.

You and I are probably much closer in weight and I have been running 20 psi for winter so we probably have about the same surface area down though.

I would like to find someone with some good snow tires. Cameron maybe, and go for a ride one day with mine and then swap them and see just how much better is it. Probably won't be a perfect test but will maybe suffice.

you can get a siping tool for so cheap and they work very well, not even hard to do yourself either, just find an old tire to practice and your golden, + after you do a set you can advertise on craigslist to do them for others :p
