Yup! But the reinforced c-channel is wicked strong, and provides some flex. I think the earlier 2nd gen tacos 05-06 some had a fully boxed frame but there were problems with stress fractures so they switched.

Margaritas! Right on Rts 4 & 225, just west of the exits off 128. Not exactly 'local cuisine' but it's quick and the food is good if you like bastardized and Americanized Mexican food. We go there between soccer games every Saturday.

You should make the fully boxed part larger so it'd act like pontoons. Then maybe your Runner will float :D

Going to look at a 2002 2.7 black tacoma with 87k today at a dealer. Cant wait. Seems to be legit and the frame and everything were just replaced in 2010 so thats good to know:). It helps when your friend dave can look at everything from his dealer computer:D. I hope its as nice as it says.

Rob, for your sliders, which primer did you like better, the self-etching primer or the automotive primer?

They have a few different ones but this is the one I used and had great luck with. Do not get it on your hands as it is VERY durrable and won't come off for a week. They sell this in the regular spaypaint area at Walmart.

I think I saw that in Home Depot the other day. I'll give it a shot. I need to get the sliders primed, the surface rust is already starting to set in and I want to get them painted before it starts pitting.

Anyone who brought their sliders home in an open bed, make sure you wash them. The part of mine that were sticking out and got salt on them were already bright orange last night.

I like Walmart, just not the ones near me. I used to buy everything there when I lived in VA.

Whoa... That's pretty nuts. Recheck everything, that's unusual. Did you have the lights apart and handle the bulb for any reason?
