    I am looking at going from 2008 4x4 Sport to a 2012 or 2013 4x4 Off-Road

But I just bought new tires for the 2008 and they are better than stock but I won't get more for them when I sell it.

Can I move the wheels and tires straight over to the 2012 4x4 Off Road or will this hit any of the traction control stuff? Will the TPS monitoring still work or do I have to swap any parts?

    Thanks,

    Phil

Yep, swap them over. You will have to get the tpms reflashed at the dealer

I thought that the TPMS were different part numbers. May have to switch them...I'd want the new ones anyways. May not cover them under warranty if one fails...

But as far as everything else goes...you're 100% fine.

Thanks Evan! This will save me from having to live with stock tires from the new truck for 50,000 miles.

I know at one point they changed the part numbers. I think 09+ but I could be wrong on the year. Either way, I'd get them to swap the new ones in...they'll do it.

    awww... Buzz kill.

If they will work I don't think I would tear apart and rebalance tires just to get the new warranty sensors. If they die I would live with it and probably disable it. I just don't want to have the wife see a tire pressure light on a brand new truck.

Will they or will they not work after being flashed at the dealer?

Ok, I'll just ask the dealership on that point. As long as the 17" 2008 Sport wheels will fit no problems in place of the 16" 2012 off road wheels that is the main thing.
