A friend of mine had 22.5s on his truck. Since 38 inch semi tires are pretty expensive, he went with re capped tires in the back. Tured out bad. One tire had the tread separate from the rest of the tire, destroying his bed side. He had to get a new bed

Thanks. That's the information I'm looking for. This just made my tire choice even harder. Lol Now I'm at a toss up between cooper at3 and a set of gaurd dogs both in 285/75r16. Oh the joy of tire buying.

My experience is that they're not the greatest tire for the snow. My BFG A/T KOs performed a little better if I remember correctly but they're not bad either. I feel confident driving in the snow with them though. They did well when I took my truck offroad in dirt/mud/snow mix the other day and they performed very well. 2WD or 2WD locked was when I had any trouble with traction. Very happy with my tires so far and I plan on buying another set when these wear out.

I mostly drive the main highway to work. And I have friends that have gone all winter with summer tires and had no troubles driving the same route. And if its nasty out I just drive slow anyway. And worse comes to worse I will buy a set of winters. I was just hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone.

I think that you will find the Wardens to be a good tire for all around use. Fairly quiet (slightly noisier than a BFG AT), good off road and in the snow. They have more siping and biting edges than the guard dogs. Get the Kedge Grip and they will be even better.

I use to have horribly warn thornbirds (cousin ran them on bent and unbalanced rims) on my old truck. So tire sound doesn't bother me. And they will be on my truck for hunting season witch does involve some muddy rutted roads.

Sounds like they'll work just fine for you then lol. If you're on the freeway driving reasonably when there's snow on the road they will work well. They will also do pretty well on muddy rutted roads.

My tax return hit my bank account today so I just ordered 4 Wardens in 265/75/16 size. I spent $536 shipped. Not bad if you ask me, how long do they normally take to make and ship out?

The site only says processing and shipping times vary. I also don't think the tires I ordered are in stock so it could take up to 2 weeks :/ I'll give them a call today to find out.

Nice! hopefully mine get here that fast. I have a screw in one tire right now and re-inflating every few days is getting annoying hah.

EDIT: I gave Treadwright a call and they said that the D load rating Wardens I ordered are out of stock. They said they'll upgrade me to E load rating Wardens for free and ship them out today! Great customer service!

Well I got my tires in from Treadwright last week and got them mounted. They look so much better than stock. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics

I'm very happy with these tires. They aren't noisy, IMO they improve the ride quality, and they don't rub on stock suspension. Now I just need some 5100's up front to level it out :)

Ordered a set of 235/85R16 Axioms for my brother's stock 3rd gen 4runner on the 2nd and they arrived on the 7th. Very happy with this order and the one for my truck. Tires look great on his 4runner too. They're a little skinny but they really fill out the wheel wells.
