Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i inherited a super blackhawk w/ a 10 1/2" barrel that my dad bought to hog hunt. never used it for that. i do know i can put 6 in a noggin at 15 yds w/ it though.

Fun to shoot yes..... but at 2.50 a bullet..... its a special occasion. lol

I like when im around people who are talking about guns and they start talking about how badass there .357 and .44 and .454's are.... and i just chuckle.

    A nightmare for squirrels.... lol

i almost went with a .454 and that thing had a rail system on it. woulda been epic to have a scope!!! but my gun guy im bama came through and managed to locate me one.

I know. I can't wait to see it hit some stores. I'm also kind of waiting for a synthetic stock too.

I'd say me too....except I want to see how it performs from independent tests (aka rimfire central). I'll wait till I know the cartridge is here to stay....I waited 10 years for the 17 hmr...

I think my tax return is going to a new scope for my 17, I found a Ziess conquest for like 75 (or 100) less than retail...I just hope clearances work

If I can get my hands on one I'll let you guys know how it performs. I don't have a 17 hmr so I thought I might as well wait and get the mag

So guys, I've got this old rifle I've been thinking about going tactical with, want to know what you guys think, I'm thinking a collapsible stock, scout scope, synthetic fore grip, with a vertical grip, a flashlight and a

It is a lever action in 30-30, and basically nearly worthless

It's the lever action in the picture

    epura6yd_0cfbd885d11b5bf24f91d4b7ff2dd64971482a17.jpg

I'm definitely kidding on that guys. It's a Winchester model 94 made in 1913, chambered in 30 WCF (same as 30-30) it's a 100 year old rifle and still shoots well (holds decent groups at 100 yards) but I can't really scope it and find out how good it could do. The other rifle is a modded 10/22 and the pistol is a ruger new model black hawk in 44 lc

But I figured I'd show off my old school rifle

When I was reading that I was hoping to god you weren't talking about that Winchester...

When I read "worthless lever action 30 30" my heart dropped and i mix of sadness and anger came over me.

I thought I was gonna have to save that rifle from you!

Rofl, ya I figured I'd get a good reaction from someone. That gun balances better than anything in my gun safe....

I would never mess up a classic
Like that by going tactical. Now I would consider It with a modern lever gun, like something made in the last 20 years. I'd have to find a cheap candidate

What kills me is the guys with the old classic win asters that tac them out....drives me nuts

    Here are some more

Model 70 30-06 feather weight, used to kick bad enough for me to develop a flinch., limb saver recoil pad fixed that
Has a leupold 3.5-10 scope, don't know model, but very nice scope (it is an older one)

And a model 700 bdl in 7mm-08. It is topped with a burris full field II with ballistic plex

I just discovered this section & thread existed. I've got some catching up to do but I don't want to flood the thread so I'll just post a picture up every now and then. I'll start with this one since I just posted it on another forum for someone asking about AK47 optics & mounts. The AR15 on top is my truck gun and the AK47 is an Arsenal.
