nice but way too much saw for what i need

dont think that model is in production any longer and from what i can tell way way out of my price range

i checked out some ridgid stuff today
i use their plumbing tools if they are the same company

maybe for what you do but for me worked great
granted its only day one......for the money i cant go wrong love the fence on it and stand is solid

I have a Rigid that worked great when I put ~350 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring in and has still worked good for the occasional use in the few years since.

The laser is pretty much useless though, tis true. Not sure if it's the same on other saws, but you really can't see it well when you are making the cut.

 

I wanna say it is. I've used their plumbing tools as well.

Makita makes awesome tools. Their battery chargers in my opinion are crap. At work We've gone through 4 in the past 5 months

I've got a Rigid 10" non slider that has never been accurate.

Maybe in your price range. I can work with wood for framing, crown, etc etc, electric I'm moron, plumbing semi derp at least has metal gears, most of hd/ lowes crap is all plastic gears, 2 year warranty, I used to frame bathroom, and one room of crown so far, dual bevel is nice, compound is only need to do wide board . You looking at 10" or 12"

 

im using an old ass craftsman now but i noticed the fence or what ever its called has some issues i will take some pics tomorrow. i mean im painting the moldings so
but i could use a new one....
and yes my circular saw has a laser and i don't use it either

 

Yes the 18v. Haven't had one go bad in the past month though. Everything else of theirs I've used has been good though

 

Laser need to be adjusted to line up well, I look to see what "pros" use and o off that. Not much sage yet on mine but still cuts on the line

 

Huh , I switched from Panasonic 12V cordless to Makita 18V cordless tools about a year ago and have had zero issues

 

Pros don't rely on a laser for precise cuts

Just sayin

 

That was pic of when new, and I always clean after use, always, looks just as shiny today doesn't everyone clean their tools after finishing project
