I was told 20% is legal for fronts in Florida. Maybe not in VA?

Sucks. VA is 50% for front and 35% for all other except the windsheild.

Trucks are different but still 50% n the front.

According to Florida.S.S, 28% for the front driver and passenger and 15% for the rear windows. Now, the state gives you +/- 3% so even if the front windows are 25% you're good to go and 12% for the rear.

    oops! *deletes post :D

Some people down here have like 10 all around and get away with it.

I had 20 or darker on my 2000 and never got bothered.

The sun's really strong down here, I think maybe they're sympathetic?

I added my hood lights using Famous Fabrication's hood brackets I already had the wiring in place so all I had to do was install the bracket. A very easy job to do.

Most states will allow darker tint with a perscription from a doctor. I do not know of anyone that has a perscription.

Keep in mind that the laws address TOTAL transmission.

Your factory tint is already at about 70%.
Stacking a 25% on top of that brings your metered transmission down to 25% OF 70% or only 17.5%... not legal in a 28% state.
35% film would be 24.5... would probably skate in Florida.

California law is NO added tint to anything ahead of the line perpendicular to the driver's eyes. No restriction on anything behind that provided we have two exterior rear view mirrors.
The factory 70% is legal on the front windows, but if we have an older car without factory tint, we can't legally put anything on it.
