I met up with our TTORA chapter pres awhile back, he drives a 2jz swapped straight front runner with an exo cage

apparently oahu had a wheeling meet once, but guys scratched their PC'd skids and sliders and complained; enough so that there has literally not been another meet for the last three years

I don't feel like quoting all that stuff on my phone but Mike(AZ) and I have been running 855/886's on 5100's with no problem and I believe there are several other members doing the same.

From what I could tell, we have just as many lifted mall crawler trucks in Idaho. The only difference is in Idaho they are mostly fullsize and in Hawaii most of them were midsize.

Why don't you just go out with just you and the 4runner? Haha. That should be fine.

but yes, in idaho we have our fair share of mall crawlers...but there are quite a number of groups of people (as you know from SIK) that have dedicated crawl rigs. What we dont have here is mid range stuff.

 

Seems like everything around here is either a jacked up diesel, jack up old pick up, or a pretty stock level toyota that will just mob to wherever they want to go hungting. Not as much wheeling mind set except the jeep clubs I think.

 

Yeah that is about how it is here. Other than the club members most people think I am insane for wheeling my rig like I do! Haha and even some of the members think I am crazy too they all beat on beaters and tell me here and there I should just get one to beat on rather than beating on my nice rig. Haha

 

ahhh very nice! Been looking at a 1uz or 3uz swap. But a 2jz will be easier due to the tranny just bolting right up. Need a custom adapter plate for the 1uz/3uz.

same here. Plenty of jeep guys and some hardcore guys. Nothing mediocre and its all about the big full sized lifted trucks
