Had the window small at work, didn't see the cons section at the bottom. I assumed it was running since it said motor runs strong. OOPS. Maybe I should work instead of searching craigslist.

Jacob, have you looked at Matt Nelsons truck? He's up in Ojai and I think he was tossing around the idea of selling it. Super clean nice built 1st get. Still very streetable. Not going to be the cheapest one but a lot cheaper than starting from scratch. Scrren name is (nelsomatt)

Ok, for some reason I thought you were taking about LT'ing your current truck a day or two ago. Plans changed quickly.

I was the other day that was the plan but my truck is my daily driver and I drive from Beaumont to 29 palms every day and don't have the money for gass back and forth with full glass and long travel

Glass and LT won't affect your gas mileage that much. It's the tire size/type you go up to.

When I had a 98 lowered taco 5 lug it never got better than 25 all freeway cruising.. I always got around 20-22.. and it ran like a champ.. just never figured out why the mpg was so low compared to some of the claims other folks were getting on customtacos of 29+

I get 16-20 with my current truck.

16 city 20 freeway doing 65 mph and pretending an egg is under the pedal.

just slapped on 33's so that should level out the higher gas mileage. eh, it never gets drivin, last time it drove to the desert, i went from alpine, to ocotillo, to salton sea, back to oco and everywhere in between, then home, with a little more than 1/4 tank left. that was with 31's though.

Ya I'm looking for an extended cab 1st gen to get going with full long travel something I can beat on and it keep going and when it doesn't load it back on the trailer and still drive a nice 2nd gen to work the next day instead of my 2nd gen breaking and me riding the bus to work the next day haha

I got 25 avg with my 99 5 lug 2.4 with 200k, I did get 30.5 driving a 500lb tool to ventura and back for work. But most highway was about 28. 205/75 15 tires, stock height.

Damn Jeff the merc gets about 18-19 on the highway.
