I had an 06 and had to do 5k of engine work at 78000 miles. The dealer and GM both lied to me numerous times and said this is "normal" for this truck.

Not sure but there's a chance you might even have found my old truck.

With my history with that truck and the GM dealer/corporate and their lies, you should know I would have jumped all over that one..

 

Question for electronics guys: My plan was to just use one of those add a circuit things from the fuse box inside the truck to power the CB since mine has a bunch of open spots due to manual locks, windows, no cruise etc... But it has an inline fuse, and I want it on switched power. Any reason I can't use the add a circuit with say a 10-15A fuse, or just something more than the inline one, along with the in line fuse?

Colorado's are garbage, and besides my toyota pickups my cars have always been GM. Had 3 of them with no problems. Colorado's like to eat valves, and are just shitty in general.

Mine ate the valves. Dealer said $3000. He "didn't know" about the TSB. Then he billed me $2000 for the cam and timing chain the head ruined and said GM will refund it, he can't comp those things. GM then said he can but we won't help you since you paid. They even agreed the guy lied to me but said tough shit this is normal. I said "sure it's normal b/c you put defective parts on it".

Use an add a fuse with a 10a fuse and keep the inline fuse too. That's how I have mine hooked up.

Then I have my 100w CB amp with an add a fuse... Then I have my HD radio tuner with an add a fuse.... Then I have interior lights off an add a fuse... I have lots of those. My wiring is a mess

 

Thanks, that was my thought. I currently have my siriusxm radio off an add a fuse. Nice thing about having no power accessories is a bunch of open slots in the interior fuse box. No having to deal with pulling shit through the grommet ftw.
