Dollar for dollar HID's will out throw LED's. They are improving LED's constantly but it will be a long time before your able to buy a $100 LED bar that will even come close to your Kragens for how far they reach. Now the upside to LED's is compact size, no dead spots like HID's have, and you can flip them on and off anytime or even strobe if you want, but thats all your really paying all the extra $$ for

Agreed, LEDs dont stand a chance when it comes to distance. My HIDs throw max output up to 1.2 miles. Leds are super bright up close and have a hell how a flood patter no mater what but lack the distance. Buy according to driving style. You arent going super fast in the desert at night so do you need the distance? I think with your driving style and the way your truck is set up you might be fine with the LED bar. JD on the other hand might "out drive" the light out put of the led so to speak.

Thats a good point, no LED will throw 1.2 miles but you don't really need that

I would like to see as far as possible when hauling ass through the desert at night. The farther the better for me, gives you more time to make decisions.

I made up my mind, i really dont need the distance of spot HID's...and i really think the front of the truck aesthetically will look awesome with a LED bar!

I think LED's pull more bitches than HID's....not 100% though ill evaluate the situation.

He can sneak up on them hit the led bar so he is super close and blind them like deer. Easier to catch that way. They will never know what happened.

You could always strap me to your hood and ill hold a couple flashlights.. not the maglight ones or any good led flashlights ... im talking like the shitty plastic ones that have some dentists name on them and you have to shake to get them to work half the time.... interested?
