    im running the Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT...same metra dash kit in black...i have JBL so i used the PAC JBL harness and box, got both together for 99 off ebay ...sound is WAY better than stock and i even had the entune crap..which is for sale :rolleyes: best pics i got right now :cool:

    what happened to the factory usb/3.5mm aux jack? still work or no? does the bluetooth phone in the truck still work? I love all that stuff (mostly why i wanna keep the HU and run processor) but if could make it all work (wheel controls, bluetooth, hands free phone) i would get a new HU

    Pioneer DEH-80PRS ~$280 Awesome adjustability and sound quality. SD card slot is awesome. I hardly ever put a CD in anymore. The deck comes with a mic and it does it's own auto time alignment and EQ with clicks and white noise. It got pretty close to perfect for my truck.

    I'm using the scosche kit ~$60 It has been great so far clips in tight and no gaps.

    Will be getting my orders in from Amazon this week. I ended up getting the Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS with the Metra install kit. Was wondering if anyone knew of a place/person who does good quality installation in the 818/Northridge, CA area?

    ^^ why are the seats out?? im going to guess they are doing more than a radio/amp install...

    First off, I do not mean to thread jack here - just did not want to create a new post with a little question....

    For those of you with any of the Pioneer AVH series head units, do you NEED to buy the recommended iPod/iPhone integration cable or can I use a sync chord that came with my phone to plug into the USB on the head unit?

    I got a new Pioneer AVH-x2500BT on its way as we speak and I am trying to get everything squared away before I tear into it this weekend.

    no you can use the standard cable to the usb that comes with the radio to work through with pandora and the music from your ipod/iphone but if you want to use the app mode you will need the special cable... the only one i know that you will have to have the specific cable will be for the iphone 5..

    Yeah, I sound deadened the doors and ran all new speaker wire cuz I amped all my new door speakers. Also put in a powered sub with separate control. This all required three sets of RCAs and two power wires to behind the rear seats. It was just easier to pull the seats to run all these wires.

    how much did the deadener help? thats one of the next things that im going to do when i find some time.

    Huge!!! Knocking on the door before and after was "ting ting ting" and "thunk thunk thunk"
    I have four amped door speakers and a powered sub. I can run the system up to about 3/4 volume before you can really hear it outside. I'm 38, and I don't need to advertise that I love "Dubstep radio" on Pandora until my ears bleed.
    Also, no farting door panels heard from outside.

    Totally worth it. You won't regret it. Wish I had room for a well amped 10 again. I have a powered 8 and it's ok,but missing a lot of low. I like the tightness of a 10 in a sealed enclosure. 12s always seem too "boomy" for me. ( If that makes any sense to you. )

    My Labrador won't allow a big box.

    My 12 is hidden..behind back seat :cool:

    And it hits hard... back in high school I had a ranger with 15s and a cut through into bed so ive had my share of bass lol this is a big change but happy with how it sounds...it bumps :cool:
