Ok, so ive been looking into this lift and wanna join the club but when i went to the local shop to ask some questions they said that i NEED 18inch rims to use this kit  Now i know most of you are running 17's but did you have to do any modifications for that? Or is the shop not knowing what their talkin about....

Shop does not know way they are talkin about brother. The backspacing on the rim has to be 4.5. I am going with 17's on mine with 4.5

f that move on to another shop. You can get the kit for 1800 and a dealership will charge you less to install then your shop will sounds like.

I am pretty much sold on this lift. I have looked through the thread and it doesn't appear anyone is running 16 inch wheels with this. I am wondering whether 16 inch wheels with 4.5 inch backspacing with work or not? RCD says yes. But I know from reading here that Sgtfluffy16 tried to run the 16 inch FJ wheels without success. I wonder if is was because of the 4.75 inch backspacing on the FJ wheels or are 16 inch wheels just not big enough to clear?

No it wont work. the 16 inch wheel itself will not clear the new knuckles. more specifically the where the tierod meets

Thanks Corey. This is a bummer. I was hoping to use my existing ATX Mojave wheels with some 295/75R16 BFG ATs. Now I need to rethink my wheel/tire set up.
