Will a 285/70/17 bfg all terrain tire fit a 17x8 xd series spy with a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern? or will it fit the 17x9 xd series spy with a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern?

all and any input would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!!

Of course it will fit on the wheel.

We need to know the backspacing of the wheels, how much lift you have on your truck, and if you are willing to trim plastic and possibly chop your cab mounts, in order to see if the tire and wheel combo will fit without rubbing.

You'll want the 4.5" BS, and then start trimming.

Oh you're talking about the back spacing.. My bad. I thought you were saying a 4.5" lift for some reason. What exactly is the difference between the two different back spacing?

The 5+ inch one will make the 285 tires rub on the UCA's.

4.5" bs is best for 285's.
