It looks like I'll be buying some hardware anyways... I don't like how the 3 bolts only have a washer for one side. There should be washers on both sides IMO. I'll buy 10 new grade 8 washers before the install.

Same here, we walked through just before we went to go sign just to make sure nothing had happened since the offer was accepted. My fiance's brother found a broken pipe on their final walk through and ended up walking away from the house. The house hadn't been properly winterized and no one was living there. A heating pipe burst on the 3rd floor and ruined the house.

I was always told that a slotted hole gets a flat and lock washer and a hole just gets a lock. That being said if you are going slot to slot then yes I agree with the extra flat

I agree. You don't need a lock if you have the nylon nuts though but I still think there should be a washer on either side of the plates.

I will have to check at work and see what we have for flatstock. We usually have a bucket full of hardware from construction and modernization jobs

    That'd work!

I think Rocky's sells grade 8 hardware. I'm sure it's not cheap though.

On the bottom of the frame mine are countersunk with one washer with nut
Side of frame I have 2 washers . Nut and bolt . No lock washer no nylon nut .
I know I don't have the same sliders but I haven't had any issues .

Interesting. In all actuality, grade 8 bolts that are properly torqued shouldn't need the nylon washers or the lock nuts. Interesting on the bottom bolts though... Maybe I'll just buy 6 washers for the bottom bolts. Thanks, John!

    No problem
I like the countersunk bolt because I won't snap the head off dragging the frame over rocks .
