    I know the resultant force is 800N, but I need to figure out all the corresponding angles. I know how to do that but I cant seem to solve for wut the resultant force in the x,y,z directions are.

    I know the equations and all i just am doing something wrong with calculating out the xyz of both forces. I think it has something to do with me using the angles wrong

    I don't think I completely understand the pic... is F2 right in line with the y axis (so it doesn't have an x-component) and what is the upwards angle on F1 or is it inline with the x-axis? Looks to me like it is 30* off to the side of the x-axis but doesn't list the upwards angle on it...

    Oh and what is with the little 3, 4, 5?

    the upward angle would be (4/5) i think because of the 3,4,5 triangle. As for F2 yea the Fx would be 0 because its on top of the y axis but is raised towards the z at 45 degrees.

    my first equation for F1 looked like this.

    F1=600N(4/5)cos(30)+600cos(60)+600(3/5)

    Ok. Not positive but this is what I got

    Fx= 600*(4/5)*cos30
    Fy= 450*cos45-600*(4/5)*sin30
    Fz= 450*sin45+600*(3/5)

    haha im so dumb. I think I had it completely right, but i wasnt subtracting the y1 from y2. I was adding them but since one is in the 3d quadrent...derp derp. Thanks ben what you said actually reminded me of it lol

    Yeah this site really should just do away with the rep thing... serves no purpose since the only people that don't have maxed out rep bars are very new newbies and cmack. Pretty sure the first rep I got maxed out my rep bar.

    I just checked mine out and I got a neg rep for this post... haha
    Here's the comment with the rep:
    "hAhAHA so FUnnY BrO DAWG HAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAFUNNYBRODAWG HAHAHAHHAHAHABROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

    I think somebody must hate the fact that I use "haha" instead of "lol" I don't know why but I've just always seen "lol" as feminine.

    Guy was selling one on here in good shape last summer. Was sick. Would love one.

    Speaking of cool videos. Just watched the Bolivia episode of top gear. Makes me want to do a big trip to South America even more
