I had a 2010 Tundra. Could not even park in my garage. The 5.7 is an awesome engine when you need it, but also a thirst one when you have a heavy foot I like my Taco more.

    Yes :(
But the Tacoma is MUCH, MUCH more practical for my needs.

I would never be able to use the Tundra to its fullest potential (towing, carrying large cargo, etc.) anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong, my Tacoma is great! Decent fuel efficiency, very maneuverable, and still gives me plenty of bed space for my regular trips to Home Depot and Lowes. Oh, and it fits in my garage too (when it's clean).
But I'm still drawn to the larger trucks for some reason...

After I tested the 381 ponies for a half a day driving a Tundra- I wanted to sell the Tacoma that day. But I came back down to earth, and reminded myself why I bought the Tacoma. It fits my needs. The Tundra is alot more truck then I need- I just sold a Limited Excursion, 4x4, Diesel, which like the Tundra was more truck then I need in life now. :(

    No.

This is my second Tacoma (1st was a 2004), and I feel that it's plenty big for my needs.
If I needed to go BIG, I'd go back to a Dodge 2500 diesel.

Shoot I was getting 14 at highway speeds. Had two Tundras an 07 and a 10 and I loved the trucks, but the fuel mileage combined with ever increasing gas prices combined with the amount of miles I drive for fun and work was becoming un affordable. Havent had a Taco in 7 years and am glad to be back in one! Averaging 19-20 in mixed city/highway driving, smaller payment, lower insurance costs.......I'm digging it!

In 2011 when I was looking at a Tacoma, I really wanted an access cab. I wasn't able to find one at the time for being the end for the year. I ended up getting a double cab, long box. The novelty of the double cab wore off in about 6 months after ownership. I hardly carry any passengers in the back and it was wasted space. Also with me living in the city, parking it was a big pain. I ended up trading in for a 13' Access Cab. I am more happy now. Yeah! Sometimes I miss having the back seat but I know I made the right choice. The truck is meant for me, not for my passengers. If people want to ride with me then they have to sit in the back of the Access Cab.

Shortly after I got my Taco was when they came out the next gen Tundras (late 2006). I reallllly wanted one of those Tundras at the time, but they were like $40k+. Now that I have had my Taco for 7 years I see that I would have regretted getting a Tundra. Way too big and cumbersome, and tight trails in the PNW are not doable in something that big. I think even the interior of the Tundra is too big. I'd get lost in there. Taco is pretty close to perfect for my needs! The only shortcoming is that the short bed is small. I wish I could at least fit a pair of skis in the bed without putting them diagonally, and wish I could lay a 4' wide piece of construction material between the wheel wells.

No. Tundras are nice trucks, an a larger engine would be nice to have. But I am more than happy with my Tacoma.

I had a 2012 Tundra DC XSP-X 4x4 I drove it for 13898 miles traded it for a 2013 Tacoma DC 4x4 TRD . Ok the Tundra was a nice comfort truck lots of nice gadgets drove good really like the truck ok here is its faults 14 to 15 mpg driving on the road about 50 to 60 then if you were going to pull a trailer 10 to 12 mpg. I have never seen a truck that had 381 hp wouldn't spin the 20 inch bfg on wet pavement , it has traction control problems I think they over done it . That my 9000 mistake . My 2013 Tacoma 4x4 will about burn the tires off and still get 17.8 mpg @ 60 to 70 mph and that pulling a trailer 30 to 40 on each tank.
