    Cool.

Just so you know, it is a lot of fun to turn on the monitor and slowly drill into it with a drill bit. Awesome light show. I don't suggest a hammer drill like this guy. I use a small bit and go slow, makes it last longer.. Even better if you hook it up to the video card on the PC so you can see text and shit. Loads of fun!

Just need them for spares nothing fancy. The 265s would be no use to me. They would look funny on the truck next to my 35/12.5s

SO I trashed my 7-pin bracket on the back of my truck. Some of the guys mentioned that one of you mofo's sells a relocation bracket.

    Anyone got info on this?

I recently bought an 01 Tacoma and have been reparing small things as I go. Currently, the entire front end suspension just sounds like a Squeak Fest when I'm going over spead bumps etc., or as the front is bouncing up and down.

Not sure if it would be beneficial to replace with used parts, since mine are used also but I'm open to suggestions. If anyone is upgrading their suspension or wants to or knows of a good junk yard, I would be willing to buy any used parts in good condition with low miles on them(less than 100k miles). I would like to start with the UCA's and front coils & shocks, maybe even the LCA's while I'm at it. Currently the shocks on my tacoma are not the trd stock parts that came with the truck, they are generic and mismatched... That doesn't bug me so much as the squeaking I'm chasing down.

I've been looking around on CL with no luck,,,I found a few ads with 2nd gen front suspension parts but my understanding is that I will need 1st gen parts only. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Squeaks are normal... lol. Honestly you probably just need the bushings inspected and replaced or regreased.. that'll take care of most of it most likely. Coils might also be worn out pretty well, and that'd give you some creaking.

Most of our trucks that get used off-road make a lot of noises in the suspension, fix = louder on the stereo volume... lol.

I have a 2000 (gen 1) and I have never had much success with finding decent used parts when I needed them. For most things I'm OK with it though, I'd actually rather get OEM or better-than-OEM aftermarket since I plan on keeping my vehicle forever and I need the quality (and confidence) when I'm in some serious crap, remote backcountry.

I'm assuming you have 4x4 and 150,000+ miles. I tend to agree with Kyouto42 and not sorry too much about squeaks... clunking is bad, squeaks not so much. If you hear a light clicking/rattle, it could be a bad cv half-axle.

I would start with LCA bushings and shocks. The UCA bushings are a real MF and if those are shot consider new arms like Total Chaos or Camburg. If the original Toyota coils are there then they are probably fine, although if you're unsure of shocks, get new ones... world of difference. Don't worry about ball joints unless the boots are ripped or there's an incredible amount of slop/vibration, and if there is, it wouldn't hurt to get new tie rods ends, they're easy to swap and relatively cheap. Take it to a good alignment shop and they should be able to tell you if there are minor issues.

    Good luck!
