Anyone ever roll their Taco?

I have a very base model of the 10' Tacoma Reg cab, and have been wondering for the longest time if my truck will roll if I try and drift in it or take a turn too fast. Anybody have this issue? I thought I should better look into it before I try anything stupid. I drift all the time in the dirt, grass, and slick roads but what about regular dry roads?

 

well the answer to this question is obviously yes... the truck is capable of rolling. any vehicle could potentially roll when you are drifting or doing something dumb.

i havent rolled it but i have flopped mine on its side against a rock ledge. just put a few dents in the box and doors. held up pretty well.

i roll my truck all the time on turns, that's because i'm retarded though... so maybe you will have better luck.

Drifting is retarded.

I've flopped mine against a tree when a woods bridge abutment gave out and one side of the bridge collapsed. It's hard to explain. However, if the tree hadn't been there I would've rolled straight into the stream below.

Na, a combination of countersteering and letting off the gas in the middle of a drift, instant highside. If you don't countersteer, you simply spin out.

 

I rolled mine going a bit too fast, having a broken hand and not being able to correct and sleep deprevation.

I swapped a whole need body on it..still kicking.

quit driving it like a fucking race car. You want to go fast? get a fucking car. Its a damn truck. Treat as such and be careful. If you love it it'll take you all over hell and gone and never give you too much hassle.

 

The 2005 + Tacomas were designed to be able to drift, hence the x runner. You should be fine OP.

 

1 I don't think the truck has the power to drift, unless you ebrake.

I rolled a 2 wheel drive Chevy on the highway with less power and a much lower center of gravity.

So yeah, it's certainly rollable.

 

Not really.. More like you grip like stupid like he did and you flip, if he counter steered he more than likely would of had all 4 on the ground still.
