Save your money and only buy used what you have to, Do it right the first time or don't bother at all.

You should save the money to do something in the rear at the same time because having only Long travel up front and a stock rear is just not practical.

I agree as long as you are firm on what you want. I had 68 bronco, 5 lugger yota, 2 baja bugs and a rail (all meh) before my current ride. But when I started this project I used all my past toys and I knew exactly what I wanted it to do and where I wanted it to go.

For instance I choose low center on gravity vs. ground clearance-lost travel for 4wd. My shit sits low. It was built for a purpose and I robbed Peter to pay Paul in some areas like ride height and travel. But screw Peter I'm alll about some Paul.

I also agree with jason. A nice mid travel street truck is fun. I kept mine streetable just to be able to make big desert loops and go home from wherever I want. Trailer queens do have a down side.

Alrite I'm wanting to go full glass and long travel but it's hard cause I'm impatient but I want a reliable truck to go off road and on road I want to be able to go hit the sand on my way home from work then finish my drive home

Full glass should run just over $1200 new and far less for used.

Not needed unless you go long travel really though, So save glass for last.

Also would need/want a tube bumper. Minimum $400? I'm not I to LT so someone else can chime on.

I have full glass front a rear tube bumpers, sliders and custom mid travel and I am very pleased with the entire thing.

All in all it has cost far less than going long travel and is far better on the street and as far as hauling ass on the dirt... It does very well and was not designed to jump.

I am considered LT. I'm not a tacoma, but mine sucks on the street (to DD) and 90% of the time the midtravels are going the same speed I am. $.02

Go mid travel and still retain DD ability.

If you long travel your also gonna wanna think about caging your cab and getting harnesses.
