    Just found this thread.

I work for Peak Vista Community Health Centers as an IT Support Analyst. We recently purchased a small abandoned hospital and remodeled it to use for some clinics. I spent the last two days of this week helping install over 24 arms and then mounting keyboards, monitors and VM client hardware in all the exam rooms.

    Nice.

Which clients are you using? The HP all-in-ones? The Citrix branded Asus models?

    Nice!

I did something similar a few years back at an oncology clinic. Actually a chain of clinics. The new build outs were always my favorite.

Well, we were using Pano devices...until the company, without notice to anyone - even their employees, closed up about a month ago. So, now we're looking for a replacement solution.

Not yet, I think we'll upgrade at the beginning of the summer. Just to many other projects going on right now. We're also looking at implementing SRM this year so the upgrade may happen around the same time.

Nvidia is one of my favorite software vendors, but I'm bitter at them today. The video cards I have been ordering have had dual display ports which was awesome because HP started using display ports on their monitors, so I was able to use their direct display port to display port cable.... Well the card they used to replace the previous one has gone back to the fucking dvi pigtails, so now I have to use a fucking adapter again..... Pain in the ass. I just want everything to be the same!

I thought about that one, but I don't think I could have run the two radiators (GPU & CPU)

I'm would most likely use it for a NAS setup more than a performance machine.

Really? That fucking sucks. I hate the pig tails as well. Good to know as I've been building a gaming machine and haven't picked the card I want to use yet.

For future reference, HP does sell a defective media retention care pack. http://www.hp.com/sbso/services/hp-defective-media-retention.pdf

My HP rep had sent me info on it a few years ago. IIRC it was $99. That said it may only be available for business class machines, so I am not sure if this is helpful.

Just a thought if your data/media is worth retaining in times of failure. And as you know HDD's fail far to often. Even an SSD will fail.

Also, the HDD's are refurbished. They return them to the hardware vendor to have them refurb'ed. I know this because I was returning 75-100 hdd's a year with felt tip writing on the label and they started charging me for them. I battled them stating it was not in the warranty fine print that was sold to me. (It was, but I purchased the carepark from a reseller who didn't provide me with the warranty) they stated they could not return the defective media to the vendor(seagate, toshiba, WD) because I wrote on the label... Stupid move by me but they ended up sending me 150 HDD's free of charge.

Just replaced my Cooler Master 620 with the Fractal Node 605. I have a full ATX with a GTS 450, two 3.5" HDDs and a SSD.

Now, this is just, like, my personal opinion, man.

But the two things that jump out at me here:

1.) There's nowhere near enough airflow/fans in that case as shown.

2.) a GTS 450? Why bother? A 650 can be had in the ~$125 range!

    Again, just IMHO.

I already had the 450, which is already overkill for a HTPC. Only the case, CPU cooler and a SSD are new parts.

No the display port is like dvi and doesn't carry audio signal. Don't waste the money.
