Not sure if you are following all this but we've been planning to dothe Morrison Jeep trail and also explre some of the Beartooths, north of the highway and east of the NE entrance to Yellowstone NP. After that, to recoop at Monte's house in Powell for a BBQ and day of truck R&R if neccessary. We have also talked about doing some trails around Lander before heading south.

 

Side note, Where the fuck is Mark? He's has been MIA for a day or two now hasn't he? haha

I so fucking hope I don't have to go to AT this year! I would love to join you guys on this epic trip

Lander has to happen!! Couple of CO itching to do those trails. And you will love it. Think of it as a build up to 12000 feet by going to 10000 feet haha

I could probably bring the wife with me on that trip. She should be free from school this summer Would love to check out the other states

 

It is a very full plate, no doubt. I will only be able to get 2 weeks off from work. It must all happen for me within that sort of timeframe to be able to make it happen.

Well...I think wi careful planning we can make it work. If anything we could do just like Shoshone lake. The big part will be getting from lander to black bear. And how long that'll take.

 

Ah shoshone lake, man I raised some hell there! If you are in shoshone, you might as well bounce up to thermopolis and spend some time in the hotsprings there...

And I am definately going to try to get in on this whole adventure. I dont know if I can con the ol lady into either coming with, or letting go of my leish long enough for the whole thing

 

Mapquest say 9 hours, 516 miles. That is, if you can keep up with that slug of yours.

I know going to CO is a lot of uphill and last time...it..was slow going..but!! I didn't have fold down lights

 

I havent done the trail, my truck was still brand spankin new when I lived in that area.

I do want to join you guys there! I will see what I can do to get there

 

Ah well it'll be interesting t see a land yacht do it. Will be tight in some places. But not too bad.


Okay Mike. Roughly looking at stuff..it's possible to through all the trails in 6 days. That's an intense pace I know and not one you'll like. But I think we can also do it with the trails in 9 days. Give you travel time to get here and back.

Sound do able?

 

I do think it is doable. If I leave on a Sat morning. I might be able to get to Red Lodge in one day. But more likely Bozeman/Big Timber etc. Seattle to Red Lodge is 13 hrs, 850 miles. Then on Sunday the rest to the bottom of Morrison and be be ready to start Morrison on Monday morning.

Figure it from there.

 

Starting on the 5th sound good?

My school doesn't have a calendar up yet for fall semester. But I figure plan earlier then later and have to bump it up earlier..

 

.22 ain't gonna help drive a trail either the 300 bucks though would pay to run it it and back though for gas.....
