Honestly mine is loud outside the truck and very pleasant to get you going with the windows down. But because I have it piped out back it's quiet in the cab.

I'm not a huge fan of electric cut outs unless you have a turbo.

But yea it's an option for sure.

I like how mine is though, nice and loud but quiet on the hwy as the magnaflow is nice a growl ly in the low band below 2.2k. Around 2.3-2.6k it's very quiet. Then it starts to roar above that.

And i love how it back fires and gurgles all the time of down shifts :p

Hmm, being quiet in the 2.3k-2.6k range sounds perfect! That will probably be the muffler I get sometime in March or April then! :)

And if you want the noise down don't dump it. Pipe it out.

    It's a nice muffler

I'll probably just cut out the stock and insert the Magnaflow, then cut the stock piping just far back enough to where it isn't view-able. I like the clean look of no exhast pipe. :)

    Monte -

When you did your side view mirrors, is the only way to get the glass off/out to break it?

And does the new glass (or old glass if still intact) just "snap" back under the front outer trim of the housing?

As far as I could tell yea only way to open it is breaking the glass. The way the glass is mount just makes it get torqued no matter how you pop it off and it cracks.

But when I gutted my other mirrors from the backside and popped out the glass yes it just snaps back in with a ring.

I found a site that sells just the glass for replacement tho. Ill try and find it again. Idk how the quality is as I didn't get any cause no one wanted any of my mirror lights so I didn't make any more.

So I think I am leaning towards my own, with a more versatile roof option. Now I need to buy myself a welder

hey monte, couple questions for you.

in your opinion, is the mt shasta worth the extra money over the mt bachelor for the extra room over the annex?

how much do you actually use the annex?

    thanks man.

I like the over hang as setting up the tent is a bit faster.

but really i dont find myself using it a lot at this point in my life. I wheel till the last minute and camp setup for me is very fast so i usually skip it. I think once i start taking longer trips and getting to camp sooner i will use it as it is very nice to use. Having that little area closed off and being able to stand and change in it is awesome. Plus if you have another rig with you or more then 2 people, it'll fit 2 people on the ground easily.

So really it comes down to preference and budget.

Honestly if i could do it again, i think id just save the money and the the bachelor and then just an Awning.

But i don't regret getting the shasta at all. I love it. And like i said. i think in later years the annex will be more useful and more of a priority.

that's kind of the situation i'm in at the moment. i may have other people with me on occasion but %90 of the time i won't. if i remember correctly (could be wrong) the mt bachelor comes with the annex, its just smaller and no flooring.

thanks for the input . hopefully i'll have one of these bad boys headed my way in the next few weeks.

Working on a big photo shoot as soon as photographer is avalible. And the snow is gone.

Yes the annex is only 3 ways and is MUCH smaller that comes with the bachelor.

But either way..awesome tent  you'll love it.
